På Got Milk eventet som var för någon vecka sedan så intervjuade OK! Magazine Nina på röda mattan och frågade henne bl.a om filmen/boken Fify Shades of Grey som hennes pojkvän Ian Somerhalder är intresserad att spela i. Hon sa att hon köpte boken till honom men inte riktigt vet vad den handlar om!



Ian Somerhalder recently confessed that he would "absolutely be up for" playing Christian in the movie adaptation of the best-selling novel, Fifty Shades of Grey, and thankfully, his girlfriend and Vampire Diaries co-star Nina Dobrev supports him.

OK! met up with the beautiful Nina at her Got Milk? ad unveiling at the Hearst Tower in NYC and she let us in on a little secret — she actually bought Fifty Shades of Grey for Ian!

"I haven’t read the book," Nina confessed to OK! adding that she "has no idea what it's about."

"In fact, as a joke — well who even knows if it was a joke, maybe he’ll get it — I bought Ian the book, when I was at the airport the other day because everywhere I go, everyone’s asking me about it!"

Nina admits that she has heard about Ian's desire to be in the film, but really doesn't understand all of the fuss considering she's not following the hype surrounding the E.L. James' erotic novel.

"I don’t even know the book, but I know there’s a lot of sex or something," Nina confessed, questioning Ian's interest in the movie. "Which I guess is why people are excited... since he's Damon."

Ian stars as a sexy vampire, Damon Salvatore, in The Vampire Diaries, while Nina plays the innocent human Elena Gilbert, who is trapped in an epic love triangle with Damon and his brother Stefan, played by Paul Wesley.

"Elena’s whole arc this season has been Elena discovering how little humanity is left in her life," Nina told OK!. "She’s kind of sick of people dying and she just wants to be normal."

I den här intervun med E! Ian Somerhalder had a very busy weekend. The Vampire Diariesstar spent April 21 cleaning up California and then he partied at The Influence Affair. Celebs gathered at the event, hosted by the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, to celebrate the “Let’s Get Dirty” initiative. Among the guests were Ian’s co-star (and girlfriend)Nina Dobrev. Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with the philanthropic beauty and asked her about supporting Ian, his foundation, and the event. We also tried to get some TVD spoilers from Nina, but, alas, she was too crafty for that!

Wetpaint Entertainment: What does it mean to you to be here in support of Ian and ISF tonight?
Nina Dobrev: I mean, Ian has been working so hard and so long and, I mean, tirelessly; today is all about the result and showing what he’s been able to accomplish between Clean Up California and celebrating people being proactive and using their voice and realizing they have a voice and they can do something with it and that there are results. It’s not just wasted energy. We’ve cleaned up California; we’ve inspired people, we’re changing the way people — even on our set, Ian has implemented so many different things. Between getting bottles of water for everyone so we can reuse instead of having to constantly use water bottles and throw them out. There’s just little things with green living that add up and makes a huge difference. Especially when you’re on film sets, you see it on a large scale, there are so many people it’s crazy.

Speaking of the show, do you think it’s time for Elena to make a choice between the brothers?
That’s a Julie [Plec] question. I have absolutely no say in the matter so it doesn’t even matter... yeah.

Will we be seeing Elena becoming a vampire soon?
Again, another Julie question, I don’t know.

På Paley Fest 2012 gjorde MTV en intervju med Nina och Paul där de frågade om ett kommande Vampire Diaries avnitt där de kommer befinna sig under vatten. Då hade ingen av dem läst manuset till avsnittet än så det visste inte exakt vad som väntade. Nu vet vi iallafall att de kommer använda sig av sin undervattningdykning som de tränat på i några veckor, till att filma flashback scenen där Elenas föräldrar dog i en bilolycka. Om jag har fattat det rätt så kommer den scenen vara i det sista avsnittet på säsongen!

MTV's Hollywood Crush intervjuade Nina på röda mattan på Elton John Oscar Viewing Party i Los Angeles där hon bl.a pratar om Elena, Salvatore-bröderna och om Klaus och Elijah i Vampire Diaries. Jag har väntat ett tag med att posta videon eftersom vi inte kan se MTV videos här i Sverige, men ingen Youtube version verkar finnas ute. Tack till Nina Dobrev Polen så kan vi nu se den iallafall!

Nina nämner också att hon har sett små delar av hennes kommande film The Perks of Being a Wallflower, men tänker vänta med att se hela filmen tills den kommer ut. Enligt henne verkar den lovande iallafall!

En ny intervju med Nina finns med i marsnumret av den franska tidningen Bloody Kiss Magazine. Nina pratar bl.a om People's Choice Awards, Vampire Diaries och vad hon vill göra i framtiden. Intervjun är översatt från franska så några meningar kan vara lite konstiga.



You have received the People's Choice Award of the best TV drama actress, what do you think about it?
- In reality, I wasn't even nominated but the fans sent a lot of messages. Some of them were very upset, as a result, I won it! It is completely crazy, I'm so glad and I thank them and the TVD's crew for that! It is a beautiful way to begin this year... Moreover, I can taunt all of them now on the set, I will be unbearable! [Laugh]. I will get as ego as Klaus. It's him that I should play, I am going to talk to Kevin Williamson about it. [Laugh]

How do you do to switch to Katherine on Elena?
- For the style, it takes an hour and a half to switch from Elena to Katherine, who has curly hair. But I have to change of attitude and temper because they are very different. Elena is sweet, nice and attentive when Katherine is manipulative and impulsive. I can't switch from one to another with a snap, it requires a lot of concentration! But that makes my role more interesting to play, I'm doubly lucky and I take a lot of pleasure by playing both of them.

You finally kissed Damon-Ian in this season...
- Yes, finally, it is not that clear as it seems, it is a sort of a stolen kiss... I am not saying that she didn't want to, but it is very complicated... That kiss is not going to simplify things because Elena is very disturbed by her feelings. She is still in love with Stefan, but he walks away more and more. Her only support is Damon who affects her by his humanity and his evolution by her side. She is not insensitive to his charm and that, since the beginning, even if she doesn't admit it. Besides, this is what she told to Caroline and Bonnie!

On the set you seem very close to the others actors, how do you explain it?
- The fact that we play in Atlanta and not in LA, that we spend our evenings and week-ends together makes us closer. It mainly explains this amazing atmosphere on the set and this true friendship that we have. But we could have teared each other into pieces or could not have standed to be reunited 24h/24 so it is also an alchemy question. But Ian would explain it better than me, he has some special theories about alchemy... [laugh]

Since you are talking about it, you have a specific alchemy with Ian. Does it make your role more intense when you play Elena?
- Efficiently, we are sharing a « plus », but I think we know perfectly how to take things into account. As I said, playing a role needs work and focus so there is no Ian and no Nina when you are playing. I think there is the same intensity with Paul. It is more about sharing and understanding. So yes, it is easier to play with someone you trust, you can count on and stimulate you at the same time.

There were rumors which said that you have been proposed to do reality show...
- I don't really like it. My job is to be an actress, I separate my work and my private life. We are enough stalked and photographed, not htat I want to exaggerate. It is about respect toward my family. I will never do this because what I like is to play the comedy and not putting my private life on-stage. I think it is pathetic.

During the Emmy Choice Awards 2010, you danced and sang with the Glee cast... You were wonderful, is that something you would want to do later?
- Thanks, but I don't deserve credit for doing it. I have been a gymnast when I was a kid and I participated to international competitions so it helps a little. But I already danced in TVD for the election of Miss Mystic Falls, also for The American Mall in 2008. I love doing yoga as well, I am planning to do something with it later...

You just had 23 years old and yet you have been through a lot... How do you plan your future?
- I won't plan on myself today, I prefer enjoying every moments. I don't know what the future is planning for me after TVD, but I am ambitious and I have energy to spare. I am not worried and this year was amazing... I am also trying to do something with my celebrity for charity, it is a way to think about the others and not just yourself.

NY Magazine var på New York Fashion Week där dem träffade en hel del människor och inte minst sagt kändisar. På Monique Lhuillier visningen satt dem precis bakom Nina och pratade även med henne efter visningen och enligt dem så är hon definitivt den trevligaste personen på hela Fashion Week! We've survived many a Fashion Week photo scrum from behind the lenses, and wondered how the celebrities ever manage to stand in front of them without wincing, fainting, or fleeing.

But at Monique Lhuillier on Saturday night, we ended up experiencing a bit of it from the other side, because — through the magic of the universe — we were seated directly behind the two boldface names in attendance: The Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev, and Matthew McConaughey's fiancée, Camilla Alves. As in, LITERALLY behind them. As in, while they posed both seated and standing, we were in an abundance of the photos and thus spent our time trying very hard to look like responsible, intelligent, mature adults with unimpeachable posture, and probably failed on all accounts because we were simultaneously trying to get good pictures for Twitter and the those things are often mutually exclusive. It's very hard to be blasé and calm while you're testing out your iPhone zoom and Googling how to spell McConaughey.

The seats also got us close-up views of the gowns they wore, which in Alves' case was a stunning canary shade and for Dobrev was a beautiful bright blue. We are suckers for color, and they were exhibits A and B as to why the awards ceremonies are such a snooze when everyone shows up in some variation on a flesh tone. Our locale also afforded us a chance to chat informally with Dobrev and, whether we meant to or not, hear much of what she said to other people. And as it turns out, Nina Dobrev is lovely. Sincerely, everything we heard her say was warm and genuine, which after almost six years in the tents we can vouch almost never happens. She was nice to Camilla Alves, putting an arm around her when they were prompted to pose for pictures, and telling her they were best friends now. She was nice when we, two wackadoo strangers in winter coats, randomly popped our heads in to tell her what a hit her red Donna Karan Emmy dress was. She was nice when that led to reminiscing about Giuliana Rancic interviewing her on the red carpet, at which point Dobrev worried about how Giuliana was feeling post-cancer surgery and fretted that she hadn't been able to get in touch with her to wish her "good luck and good energy."

She was nice about the clothes — and she was right; they were very impressive best-dressed Oscar bait ("I love awards season," Dobrev giggled to Alves) — and she was nice when we popped up again to suggest she order one of each of them for her closet. She was just… nice. We wonder if it's because she's Canadian. Think about everything kind that great nation has given us: Marty McFly, Captain Von Trapp, Jack Bauer, Celine Dion and her Mighty Fist-Pump of Passion, dill pickle potato chips, and now Elena Gilbert. And what have we done for them lately? Hopefully, this Valentine is a start.

If you think you've been seeing a lot of Nina Dobrev lately, it's not just because The Vampire Diaries stunner has been burning up Fashion Week by hitting five shows in two days.

It must also be because you caught sight of her—and we mean a whole lot of her—on the current cover of Entertainment Weekly, in which the porcelain beauty gets hot and heavy with her hunkalicious vampire costars Paul Wesley and Ian Somerhalder. (Nope, her vampire-centric life definitely doesn't, ahem, suck.) We nabbed the classy and charming star backstage at the Monique Lhuillier show to ask her about that shoot, and she gave us some fun scoop about flashing flesh—for magazine shoots and TV shows.

Get this: She even once passed on a part in an award-winning TV series because she wasn't ready to drop trou…

"You know, I actually turned down something, because of the nudity, for Boardwalk Empire," she tells us when we asked about her thoughts on baring some skin.

"But I was really young at the time. I'd just finished Degrassi, and I wasn't ready for it. But I don't think there's anything wrong with it, and I think if you're immersed in a role and if it's appropriate for the role, I say go for it. You just have to find the right role. But I think nudity has to be tasteful and appropriate and not gratuitous."

So what was the mood like on the Entertainment Weekly cover shoot?

"Whether you're on set or on a photo shoot, those kinds of things—when there's a lot of people watching you—you have to be able to laugh. But they're always a little awkward, a little tense."

Good thing she definitely knows how to laugh about it all. "I'm proud to say that up until this point, I've been able to keep my clothes on!" she says about agreeing to do the racy shoot. "I've gotten to where I am and kept my clothes on, so now I've reached the point where you gotta start taking the layers off!" she jokes.

Great to see she's got a good sense of humor when it comes to keeping The Vampire Diaries' fans happy!
